Blue Flag

“Golden Beach Camping” Camping site has been awarded with the “Blue Flag” and meets all the above criteria of the Hellenic Society for the protection of Nature :

Environmental education and information:
• Information on the coastal ecosystem and sensitive natural environment on the coastal area.
• Constant information of the public on the swimming water quality.
• Information regarding the "Blue Flags" International Program on the Notice Board of the coast.
• Printed information and hanging guidelines regarding the appropriate behavior on the coast.
• Activities actively promoting the natural environment protection of the coast.

Swimming water quality:
• Swimming water quality, confirmed by measuring tests
• Non-disposal of industrial waste water in the coast
• Urban waste water processing, as required by the Community Directive

Environmental Management:
• Plan for the land use and environmental management
• Periodic cleaning of the coast from waste, cigarette ends etc.
• Sufficient waste bins, emptied on a regular basis
• Conveniences for recyclable materials
• Sufficient sanitary assemblies with a drainage system subject to control
• Prohibition of vehicle and motorcycle driving on the coast • Prohibition of free camping • Supervision of pets on the coast
• Maintenance of buildings and equipment on the coast

Safety, life-guard means, first aid, services and facilities:
• Trained life-guards - or direct access to a telephone - rescue equipment and first aid
• Plans for encountering with any pollution accident, with the direct information of the public
• Safe way to the coast and care of people with disabilities
